Achieving a healthy work life balance is a priority for us. We do this in a few simple ways. First of all, we offer Summer Fridays over the summer months when work officially finishes at 3.15pm. Everyone here loves them.
We also run a bespoke and structured flexible working scheme. We recognise that sometimes we may have to work longer hours during busy periods. But we don’t take things for granted and we support our people by having a formalised accrued hours scheme in place for everyone to use when they need to.
It’s simple, if a person works over a certain amount of hours when it’s particularly busy, they ‘bank’ some of these and take them back when it’s not so busy. It’s sponsored by senior management and we have a flexible working team who make sure it’s working and people are effectively re-balancing their lives when they need to.
