MEC is highest placed media agency for 3rd consecutive year in The Sunday Times Best Companies to Work For
MEC, a leading media agency, (www.mecglobal.co.uk), is to spend its third year in a row as one of The Sunday Times Best Companies to Work For 2013. Following on from two successful years in the highly prestigious league, MEC also takes the mantle as the highest ranking media agency in the UK for the third year running.
The 2013 process saw 896 companies applying to achieve a ‘star status’ with just 265 of these companies achieving 2 Star Status or above, split between small, medium and large organisations. Based on staff feedback, organisations receive a Best Companies index score which then determines the star rating compared to a fixed standard.
The judges particularly credited MEC with successes in the following areas garnered from the agency-wide employee survey in January 2013:
- 94 per cent of staff said that MEC was a good place to work whilst 93 per cent of staff said that that they felt that they had developed through leading edge training
- 87 per cent of MEC employees said they felt that they have autonomy in their role and that they are encouraged and empowered to be insatiable and push for new challenges
- 94 per cent of staff said they feel that MEC really cares about their health and wellbeing, whilst 85 per cent said that MEC’s ‘My Perks’ benefits package is leading edge
Sarah Hennessy, Deputy Managing Director, MEC commented: “To be listed on the Sunday Times list for a third year running is a fantastic achievement for us as we continue towards our goal of becoming the best agency to work for in the UK. Every single person who works at MEC has helped to make this happen and I’m delighted with the result.”
Clare Alger, People & Culture Director, MEC, commented: “We’re thrilled with this accolade and are lucky to have such a talented, passionate and engaged group of people in our business. I’m really proud of what we have achieved together, and the fact that we are the highest ranking media agency for the third year running is outstanding.”
